Bio

Scott Curts is an accomplished singer, songwriter and producer. Scott began his journey as a musician at the young age of five years old before moving on to study jazz at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Upon graduating, Scott dove into a professional music career as a guitar player, vocalist, and songwriter for cover bands.

Scott’s early inspiration came from listening to and emulating some of the greatest singers, songwriters and guitar players: Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, James Taylor, Robben Ford, Wes Montgomery, Scott Henderson, John Scofield, George Benson, and Van Halen, just to name a few.

Presently Scott writes, records and performs year round at several southwest Florida venues. He uses his eclectic music tastes and talent for music composition to create his unique “loop” styling in his performances.

His latest CD release, In My World, showcases his talent as an accomplished and versatile musician. The CD features songs that vividly paint a picture of a new chapter in Scott’s music career. From years of playing in cover bands and performing to make a living, Scott says, “It was just time to unveil a part of myself that I always wanted to pursue but never did”. Scott performed, produced, mixed, edited and mastered every song on the CD. The title track, In My World, tells the story of how Scott views life, “It’s so important to open yourself up to the possibilities of what could be as well as the importance of simply being happy.”

As Scott continues to evolve and build his career he stays busy performing and planning future projects including a book about his looping technique.

Scott lives in sunny Sarasota, Florida and is most often accompanied by his friendly German Shepherd companion, Apollo.
